Flagler's Legacy, along with Historic Tours of Flagler College, were created by Enactus, a student organization formerly known as Students in Free Enterprise. Donna Delorenzo, Executive Director of College Relations at Flagler College and Sam Walton Free Enterprise Fellow, and Enactus saw the potential for a thriving retail business. In the summer of 1999, Enactus students opened a small shop in the Rotunda of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon to start selling a few historic souvenirs and began charging for guided tours of the College.
